Shinrai Karate-Do is a friendly, family-focused karate club where the well-being, confidence and development of every student come first. Led by Sensei Carol and Sensei Bernard, each with over 50 years of experience, our fully insured, DBS-checked instructors provide safe, consistent and high-quality teaching for all ages and abilities across Surrey, Berkshire and NW/SW London.

Rooted in the traditional Okinawan Naha-te system, our training goes beyond self-defence. Students build confidence, focus and self-control while discovering their individual strengths and learning to work as part of a team. With regular gradings, everyone earns recognition as they progress through the coloured belts toward black belt.

We offer a full range of classes for juniors (5+), adults, families, beginners, black belts and aspiring competitors. Whether you’re here for traditional martial arts or aiming to compete at national or international level, we’re here to nurture, challenge and support you every step of the way.
